Toad woke up and said, "Drat! This house is a mess," sighing, "I have so much work to do."

Frog looked through the window and said, "Toad, you are right about the mess."

This caused Toad to pull the covers over his head and say, "I'll do it tomorrow, but today I will take life easy."

Frog came in and scolded Toad about leaving his dirty clothes on the floor.

Toad simply replied, "Tomorrow."

"Your kitchen sink is filled with dirty dishes."

"Tomorrow."

"There's dust on your chairs."

"Tomorrow."

"Your windows need scrubbing and your plants need watering."

"Tomorrow!" cried Toad. "I will do it all tomorrow!"

Feeling rather blah, Toad sat on the edge of his bed and sighed, "I feel down in the dumps."

Concerned, Frog asked why.

Toad replied, "I'm thinking of all of the many things I will have to do tomorrow."

Frog agreed that tomorrow would be a busy day, full of work.

Grabbing his pants and jacket, Toad said, "If I put these away now, I won't have to do it later."

Frog concurred.

Toad picked up his clothes and threw them in the laundry.

Toad exclaimed, "Frog! If I wash my dishes right now, they will be done!"

"That is true," said Frog, as Toad washed and dried the dishes.

"If I do all of my chores today, tomorrow will be free," Toad realized.

So he dusted the chairs, scrubbed the windows, and watered the plants.

Feeling much better, he said, "Now that I have done all that work, I can do something that I really want to do tomorrow.

Curiously, Frog asked, "What might that be?"

"Tomorrow, I can take like easy," he said as he pulled the covers over his head and totally zonked out.
